Job Description

Foundation Risk Partners , one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Employee Benefits Producer in Training to their Corporate Synergies team in Colombia, Maryland. Position Summary The Employee Benefits Producer-in-Training (PIT) is an entry-level role designed to develop future Employee Benefits Sales Producers. This position is ideal for individuals with limited or no prior insurance or sales experience. Through a structured and comprehensive training program, the PIT will gain hands-on exposure to marketing, account management, client engagement, and sales. By the end of the program, successful candidates will have the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to transition into a full Employee Benefits Sales Producer role. This role provides a clear developmental pathway into an Employee Benefits Sales Producer position. Candidates who complete the program and demonstrate strong performance, professional growth, and mastery of competencies may transition into a sales production role within Employee Benefits. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Learn and navigate client management and agency operating systems. Become familiar with producer tools, resources, and internal workflows. Build a strong understanding of employee benefits coverages, insurance concepts, and industry terminology. Develop effective communication skills for interactions with clients, carriers, and internal teams. Cultivate strong professional behaviors suitable for a business environment. Participate actively in team-based sales and service processes. Build presentation and consultative selling skills. Successfully complete required training programs, including professional insurance designations. Obtain a Life & Health Insurance License within the required time frame. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated eagerness to learn and motivation to grow into a successful insurance sales professional. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and adaptability to continuously evolving work demands. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to use agency technologies effectively. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Prior insurance experience helpful but not required. Interest in developing a career in insurance, sales, or employee benefits.
