Employee relations ADP Research Attention to detail Full Job Description Senior Compensation Specialist Full time Piscataway NJ​ Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Compensation Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that align with organizational goals and compliance standards. Your expertise will ensure equitable pay practices, support employee engagement, and maintain regulatory adherence across all compensation-related functions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of compensation strategies, HRIS systems, and employment law, contributing to a fair and motivating workplace environment. Duties Develop and manage comprehensive compensation structures, including salary ranges, incentive plans, and bonus programs, ensuring competitiveness and internal equity. Administer employee compensation data within HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or UltiPro, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Conduct regular market analysis using data collection tools and industry benchmarks to recommend adjustments that attract and retain top talent. Ensure compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, HIPAA, and workers' compensation regulations by updating policies and procedures accordingly. Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate processing of wages, bonuses, benefits administration, and deductions through systems like ADP or Paylocity. Facilitate employee orientation sessions related to compensation policies and benefits programs. Prepare detailed reports for regulatory reporting requirements including Medicare, OSHA, and other relevant agencies. Support employee evaluation processes by integrating compensation data with performance management systems. Assist in negotiations related to employment contracts and benefit plans while maintaining compliance with labor laws. Provide guidance on employee relations issues concerning pay disputes or concerns. Skills Extensive experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle
HCM, SAP
SuccessFactors, or UltiPro. Strong knowledge of payroll systems including ADP, Paylocity, Lawson, or Ceridian. Proficiency in data analysis skills for interpreting compensation trends and conducting market research. In-depth understanding of employment & labor law as it pertains to compensation practices. Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences. Familiarity with benefits administration processes including FMLA management and workers' compensation procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Negotiation skills for employment contracts and benefits packages. Experience with regulatory reporting requirements related to Medicare or other government agencies. Knowledge of ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or Kronos enhances the ability to streamline processes.
