SUMMARY :
Ensure the maintenance of an equitable District position classification process and system by creating and maintaining all District job descriptions. Review, analyze, research and correct information and devise methods of improvement for staff and department processes. Assist Senior Director with all aspects of HRIS system.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
: Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation: Creates, reviews and/or update job descriptions for all positions within the District. Provides overall assistance for and serves as back-up on HRIS system to Senior Director. Coordinates production of, and at times produces, reports pulled from the HRIS database. Reviews, analyzes, researches and corrects information. Compiles and reports data from the District computer for the State of NM Public Education Department. Maintains liaison with Educational Retirement Board to review and resolve issues with current employees and those nearing retirement. Maintains liaison with payroll, information technology, applicant processing, staffing and other areas to ensure efficient flow of information and paperwork. Reviews, updates and develops new "scripts" for HRIS system. Input and correct data for HRIS system which is very sensitive or is across locations. Reviews individual prospective employees and existing employee's background, education and experience, to determine salary and notifies said individual or appropriate Human Resources' staff member. Assists Records Specialists and employees by providing information and troubleshooting problems. Identifies and suggests improvements to the processing of employee record information. Receives and responds to customer inquires regarding information, procedures and related issues. Receives and responds to in person or telephone inquires regarding employee information and issues. Documents activities, operation issues and performance levels relative to established operational goals. Assists in training of Records Specialists. At peak times, may assist other Compensation/EDC staff with duties.DUTIES :
In addition to the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must perform the following duties: Complies with state-approved Code of Ethics of the Education Profession and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations. Articulates and facilitates the implementation of the mission and values of the Albuquerque Public Schools. Safeguards confidentiality of privileged information. Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records and reports as required by law, state directives, District policy and administrative regulations. Shares the responsibility for the supervision and care of District inventory, proper and safe use of facilities, equipment and supplies, and reports safety hazards promptly. Maintains professional relationships and works cooperatively with employees, the community and other professionals. Maintains professional competence through individual and staff training, in-service educational activities and self-selected professional growth activities. Attends and/or conducts staff meetings and participates on committees within area of responsibility. Performs other tasks related to area of responsibilities as requested or assigned by an immediate supervisor.PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects. Proficient with word processing, database and spreadsheet software. Ability to write standard reports, business correspondence and operating procedures/processes and manuals. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of processes.REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUMREQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience working with Human Resources Management Systems including data management, reporting and end-user support; OR High School Diploma and 5 years' experience working with Human Resources Management Systems including data management, reporting and end-user support Demonstrated experience in implementing, maintaining and enhancing HR systemsCONTACT INFORMATION
