$27.35 p/hour Salary and benefits as described in the CBESPA Bargaining Agreement.

DESCRIPTION
CBSD is accepting applications for a Payroll Specialist. This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of district payroll practices and policies in performing payroll record maintenance. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Process all payroll record set-up and maintenance as indicated on Personnel Action Request forms for all new hires and status changes of staff covered by the Teachers contract, Administrator Act 93 Agreement, Confidential Administrative Assistants, Community School Staff and substitute teachers. Includes maintenance of rate, tax, deduction and retirement/state records. Review Kronos System for errors and necessary maintenance as provided by Accounting Supervisor. Provide Kronos System support to other staff members for all areas of Kronos. Provide input of schedules for multi-position staff. Review all import files for accuracy and make necessary corrections as needed. Maintain Payroll deductions for 403(b) plans, flexible spending plans, vision, and LTD plans. Assist with periodic payroll projects and reports. This includes verifications of income and information requests regarding unemployment. Assist with audit preparation as well as reviewing payroll data to look for inconsistencies in payroll processing. Assist Accounting Supervisor and staff Accountant as needed with routine work. (Includes filing, etc.) Responsible for daily Kronos imports. Processing all support staff personnel action requisitions. All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of standard office practices and equipment, proficient with computer data entry, familiar with Microsoft Office, good communication skills. High school diploma required. Prior payroll experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of Kronos time keeping software and Tyler Munis experience a plus.
