Job Description

Description Our Pittsburgh client is seeking a Benefits Specialist for a hybrid, contract opportunity. This role will support the administration of employee benefits programs and play a key role in open enrollment, employee education, and ongoing benefits support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, and comfortable working directly with employees and vendors.
Hours:
40 hours a week, M-F.
Hours are flexible:
7-3. 8-4, 9-5, or 10-6 with a half hour lunch.
Pay:
$26-31/hr Free parking available and easily accessible by bus.
Requirements Responsibilities:
+ Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. + Support and help coordinate annual open enrollment, including employee communications, meetings, and system updates. + Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution. + Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems. + Partner with brokers and vendors to ensure accurate plan administration. + Assist with benefits compliance, reporting, and audits as needed. + Maintain accurate benefits documentation and employee records. + Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes and employee understanding.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. + 3-5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role. + Experience using Paycor for benefits administration, employee data management, and open enrollment support + Strong knowledge of employee benefits and applicable regulations. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Strong communication and customer service skills. + Proficiency with HRIS systems, benefits platforms, and Microsoft Office. + Benefits or HR certification a plus. + Experience in a nonprofit or people services environment a plus.
