Overview We are seeking an experienced Classification & Compensation Analyst to support a large municipal organization with job description review, classification analysis, and compensation-related projects. This role will focus heavily on reviewing and updating job descriptions, evaluating changes to duties and responsibilities, and assisting with compensation and classification recommendations. The ideal candidate will have experience in job analysis, compensation administration, position classification, and organizational review. Must have your own computer and have internet to be able to do TEAMS meetings. Key Responsibilities Review, compile, and merge historical and current job descriptions Analyze duties and responsibilities to create updated job descriptions Evaluate revisions submitted by departments and determine whether changes are minor or significant Assist with classification and compensation analysis related to revised positions Review job duties, skills, qualifications, and organizational impact Partner with HR and department leadership to ensure accurate position documentation Support recommendations regarding classification, compensation, and job structure changes Maintain consistency and compliance across job descriptions and classifications Must Have Qualifications 3+ years of experience in classification, compensation, or HR analysis Strong experience writing and reviewing job descriptions Experience evaluating job duties, position classifications, and compensation structures Ability to analyze organizational changes and make compensation-related recommendations Excellent written communication and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in public sector or municipal government environments Knowledge of compensation studies, pay structures, and classification systems Experience conducting job evaluations or desk audits Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Why This Opportunity High-impact project supporting organizational operations Collaborative and professional work environment Opportunity to contribute to meaningful classification and compensation initiatives Apply today to bring your expertise in classification, compensation, and job analysis to a dynamic project environment.
