Hybrid role. Can work at either NYC or NJ locations. Fantastic chance to grow with a non-profit that has a strong mission statement. Seeking an Entitlements Manager with OPWDD non-profit organization experience. Key Responsibilities Benefits & Entitlements Management Lead the oversight and administration of public benefits programs, including Medicaid, Social Security (SSI/SSD), SNAP, and related entitlements Ensure ongoing eligibility by monitoring income changes, benefit levels, recertifications, and compliance requirements Act as a liaison between clients, the organization, and government agencies such as Social Security and local Social Services offices Manage and prepare appeals and fair hearings related to benefit determinations Representative Payee & Client Funds Oversight Oversee the full lifecycle of client funds within the Representative Payee Program, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance Track and reconcile all sources of client income, including benefits, wages, and subsidies Review and approve client disbursements, including rent, utilities, personal needs allowances (PNA), and vendor payments Ensure timely and accurate completion of annual Social Security Representative Payee reports Lead monthly account reconciliations across individual and pooled client accounts Qualifications 4+ years of experience in entitlements, benefits administration, representative payee services, or nonprofit financial operations Strong working knowledge of Medicaid, Social Security (SSI/SSD), and SNAP programs Demonstrated analytical skills with experience in reconciliations and team oversight Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with familiarity using financial systems We are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
