- of $70,200 to $78,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
- The FMLA Coordinator supports the in-house leave management process for all FMLA and company paid leave requests for both represented and non-represented employees.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate in-house FMLA cases by confirming employee eligibility and entitlement, reviewing medical certifications and leave request forms, requesting additional information when needed, approving or denying leave, and issuing required communications using the AbsenceSoft leave management system.
- Review short-term disability cases managed by Occupational Health Services nurses for FMLA approval.
- Manage requests for company-paid benefits, including paid parental leave, bonding leave, and primary caregiver leave, by confirming employees meet company eligibility requirements.
- Identify and approve or deny intermittent FMLA absences to ensure requests do not exceed approved frequency and duration parameters.
- Review and process state paid family and medical leave forms and coordinate requests with third-party vendors by providing employment, payroll, and other required information.
- Respond to employee, supervisor, and HR inquiries regarding leave processes and leave benefits.
- Participate in team meetings to ensure consistency in leave administration and recommend improvements to the overall employee leave experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school Diploma or GED
- 4-years customer service experience in a corporate setting
- Proficient computer background/experience, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in team environments
- Strong critical thinking skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of federal and state leave laws across all states
- Leave administration experience
