Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a REMOTE are seeking a Benefits Lead Consultant to join the HR Wellbeing & Experience team during a critical period of transformation and stabilization. This is a highly hands-on, consultative role designed to assess, remediate, and improve benefits operations, compliance, and data integrity across a complex, multi-state environment. This position will play a key role in helping leadership identify what is broken, why it is broken, and how to fix it—while building scalable, compliant processes for the future. The ideal consultant will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves, navigating ambiguity, and bringing structure to an overextended team. Key Responsibilities Lead a comprehensive assessment of current benefits operations, policies, and data to identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies Clean up and correct historical benefits data (including legacy data from 2023 through present and earlier) Review, update, and standardize internal benefits policies and documentation Evaluate and redesign operational and process flows related to benefits administration Provide critical analysis of and hands-on support for Leave of Absence (LOA) processes, which are currently highly manual and apply to remote employees in over 35 states considered a high-risk area Ensure benefits practices align with compliance requirements across 38+ states Partner closely with HR leadership to address: What is currently broken? Where are the biggest compliance or operational risks? How should benefits processes be rebuilt for scalability? Collaborate with a strong technical HR systems team to improve workflows and system adoption Create structured plan to Take on or transition ownership of reasonable accommodations processes (currently supported by People Business Partners) Serve as a trusted advisor to a team that is currently stretched and in "clean up" and "learning" mode and in need of structure and prioritization Identify and solve for gaps across the team's resources, policies, and skills We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of progressive benefits experience with a strong hands-on background Deep experience with Workday (implementation, administration, or advanced configuration) Experience using Monday.com boards for process tracking or project management Strong knowledge of multi-state benefits compliance and employee laws Extensive Leave of Absence (LOA) experience, including manual or complex LOA environments Experience working across multiple organizations, ideally in transformation or clean-up scenarios Proven ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution Experience implementing or stabilizing benefits operations during periods of organizational change Experience using Monday.com boards for process tracking or project management Exposure to HRIS implementations or re-implementations Background in compliance remediation, data correction, and operational process redesign Experience stepping into newly created or evolving roles and helping define scope and best practices
