Responsibilities:
Eligibility & Enrollment:
Proactively conduct eligibility assessments and assist patients in completing applications for programs, Medicaid, CHIP, and the Federal Marketplace.
Verification:
Timely review and verify patient income, residency, and insurance coverage to validate program eligibility.
Patient Advocacy:
Educate patients on their rights and benefits while providing unbiased guidance through the enrollment process.
Collaboration:
Work with medical staff, internal departments, and stakeholders to gather documentation and ensure accurate data entry into the EHR system.
Compliance:
Adhere to all regulations and prepare accurate reports regarding enrollment activities and program compliance.
Professional Development:
Maintain certifications (such as federal consumer assistance certification) and participate in training regarding Texas benefits and marketplace modifications.
Working hours:
8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Skills:
Experience:
1+ years in a healthcare field with an emphasis on health insurance or healthcare coverage programs.
Technical:
Proficiency with healthcare electronic clinical systems (EHR) and scheduling software.
Logistics:
Reliable transportation and automobile insurance.

High School Experience:

Qualifications:
Language:
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
Education:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of healthcare or related experience.
