Position Summary We are seeking a data-driven and employee-focused Benefits, Payroll & Compensation Specialist to manage our comprehensive Total Rewards programs for our Georgetown Manufacturing Facility. In this role, you will own the end-to-end administration of multi-state payroll, coordinate comprehensive health and welfare benefit programs, and conduct market equity analysis for local compensation brackets. This position requires high analytical precision, strict compliance tracking, and a passion for delivering seamless employee experience.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing:
Own the end-to-end execution of bi-weekly payroll runs, ensuring accurate calculations for hours, deductions, bonuses, and tax withholdings, attendance. Billing invoicing and monthly reconciliation.
Benefits Administration:
Manage daily benefits workflows, including new hire enrollments, life events, annual open enrollment, 401(k) funding, and leave of absence tracking (FMLA/ADA), Billing invoicing and monthly reconciliation.
Compensation Analysis:
Conduct regular market benchmarking using salary surveys to ensure local Austin compensation remains highly competitive. Evaluate internal pay equity and job architecture.
Compliance & Auditing:
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws (FLSA, ACA, ERISA, Texas payday laws). Execute quarterly and annual payroll and benefits audits.
HRIS Optimization:
Act as the internal administrator for our HRIS platform, ensuring high data integrity, generating custom reports, and fixing payroll interface errors.
Employee Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, insurance coverage, and total rewards statements.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3-5 years of dedicated experience directly managing payroll processing, corporate benefits, or compensation design.
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paycor and HCP).
Analytical Skills:
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF statements) for heavy payroll reconciliation and data auditing.
Knowledge Base:
Deep understanding of FLSA regulations, tax classifications, and benefits compliance rules. Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Benefits Specialist (CBS) designation. Experience handling payroll for mixed populations (exempt salary vs. non-exempt hourly manufacturing/production crews).
