$52,000 Annually Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their team. This position is responsible for administering full-cycle payroll and employee benefits while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, provide exceptional internal customer service, and support reporting and compliance initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for employees accurately and on schedule Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and payroll deductions Maintain payroll records and process employee data changes Ensure payroll tax compliance, filings, and reporting accuracy Process wage garnishments, levies, and other payroll adjustments Reconcile payroll data and prepare payroll-related reports Support year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and payroll audits Audit timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans Manage benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and annual open enrollment activities Reconcile benefit deductions and vendor invoices Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries Coordinate with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, and third-party vendors Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and benefits records Prepare reports and assist with audits, year-end reporting, and benefit plan censuses Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll and benefits administration Recommend and implement process updates to maintain compliance and operational efficiency Qualifications 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience preferred Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefit administration practices Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Why Join?
