This is a hands-on role supporting the administration of a comprehensive, multi-state employee benefits program. What You'll Be Doing:
Health & Welfare Administration Manage benefits enrollment, employee deductions, and billing reconciliation Process weekly HSA reimbursements and tuition reimbursement applications Generate reports from HRIS and vendor systems Assist with annual projects (renewals, audits, census reporting, budget projections) Deliver employee benefit presentations and support communications Support 401(k) and pension administration Leave Administration Coordinate disability, FMLA, and medical leaves with third-party administrators Communicate leave approvals and manage payroll deductions in arrears Partner with HR and payroll to ensure smooth leave processing Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FMLA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, FLSA) Assist with audits and required IRS/DOL filings Maintain confidential benefits records Stay current on regulatory updates and industry trends
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2+ years of benefits administration experience knowledge of ACA reporting and benefits compliance Working knowledge of
FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, ADA, FLSA
Advanced Excel skills analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment High level of discretion with confidential information Bachelor's degree preferred PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, or similar certification a plus Why This Role? salary:
$25•$30 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM•5 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities  Assist with benefits administration including enrollment, employee deductions, insurance billing reconciliation and payment and incentive programs.  Delivers benefit presentations to employees.  Assists with annual projects (Total Comp Statements, census reporting, renewals, budget projections).  Generates benefits-related reports from HRIS and benefit vendors' systems.  Processes weekly HSA reimbursements.  Resolves benefits-related administration questions or problems for employees, working closely with carriers to provide resolution and escalating issues as necessary.  Responds to QDRO, QMSCO and other requests.  Processes weekly HSA reimbursement for incentive programs.  Processes Tuition Reimbursement applications and approval as needed.  Assist with employee communication materials (annual enrollment, newsletters, and publications) to promote understanding.  Assists with 401(k) and Pension Plan administration as needed. Leave Administration  Works with third-party administrators, human resources team, and payroll to administer all disability, family, and medical leaves  Communicates with management regarding employee's leave approval and leave management instructions  Assists with benefit premium payments for leave of absence employees. Monitors deductions in arrears in HRIS.
