Full Job Description Subsidiary:
New Millennium Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the accounting and administration of the company's benefit programs, performing payroll functions and assist with inventory monthly. This position includes frequent interaction with employees regarding benefit and payroll needs.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Responsibilities:
Process weekly and monthly payrolls Process voluntary and involuntary deductions such as child support and garnishments Maintain employee payroll records Preparing accounting transactions, verifying proper accounts are affected and accruals are accurate Maintain confidentiality of employee information Perform other duties as required
Benefit Responsibilities:
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs such as the profit sharing and retirement savings plan, health and dental plan, life and disability plans, cafeteria plan, stock plans, etc. Administer company HIPAA privacy and security policies as appropriate Present employee benefit topics at employee meetings, company picnics and other company events Process new hire enrollments, terminations and changes Perform E-Verify on corporate new hires and act as divisional back-up Maintain complete and accurate employee files Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Comfortable consolidating multiple sets of data Bachelor's degree in accounting, a related field or previous five+ years payroll experience Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
