Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a qualified Benefits Systems Analyst in support of one of our higher education clients in Virginia Beach VA. This candidate will be supporting managing the administration, configuration, and compliance of employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment, system integrity, and high-quality employee support. This role serves as a subject matter expert in benefits operations and HRIS configuration, supporting employees and leaders across the full employment lifecycle. The day‑to‑day will include: Administer and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, COBRA), including enrollments, life events, terminations, payroll deductions, and open enrollment. Configure, maintain, and test benefits within UKG Pro and/or Workday, ensuring accurate eligibility rules, plan setup, deductions, integrations, and documentation. Support fully insured and self‑insured plans by coordinating with TPAs, carriers, stop‑loss providers, and Finance on claims reporting, funding, reconciliations, and renewals. Ensure regulatory compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125, including required filings, notices, audits, and ongoing regulatory monitoring. Serve as the primary liaison to brokers and vendors, supporting renewals, plan design changes, vendor performance management, and cost‑efficiency initiatives. Produce and analyze benefits data and reports (enrollment, utilization, claims, costs) to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision‑making.
Compensation:
$31/hr. to $36/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred. 3-5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration. Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring benefit plans in UKG Pro and/or Workday. Experience supporting open enrollment configuration and system testing. Strong knowledge of self-insured (self-funded) benefit plan administration strongly preferred In-depth understanding of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
