Jul 10, 2026 Job Description The Benefits Coordinator administers employee benefit programs for the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) and its member districts (WSESD & VTSD), serving approximately 700+ employees. This position ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements, district policies, and applicable state and federal regulations while providing support and guidance to employees regarding benefit programs and leave administration. Administer employee benefit programs end to end, including health insurance, IRS Section 125 Spending and Reimbursement Accounts (HRA, HSA, FSA & DCRA), dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability insurance and COBRA. Enroll, update, and terminate employee benefit coverage while maintaining accurate records across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems. Serve as the primary liaison between WSESU, member districts, employees, and benefit providers, including BlueCross BlueShield VT, VEHI, HealthEquity, Cigna, 403(b) vendors, and other third-party administrators. Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and applicable federal and state regulations, including
ACA, COBRA & IRS
Section 125 requirements. Maintain employee benefit data and support required regulatory reporting, including ACA documentation and IRS Forms 1095. Process, audit, and reconcile benefit-related invoices, enrollment records, HRA activity, ACH transactions, and associated general ledger accounts. Maintain working knowledge of benefit regulations and legislative changes impacting employee benefit administration.
