Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Group Benefits Account Manager to support high-performing Insurance Agents and provide exceptional service to our group benefits clients. This role is responsible for maintaining client relationships, coordinating with insurance carriers, managing benefit-related requests, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, a quick learner, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multitasking, communication, and problem-solving are essential. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support a team of Group Benefits Account Managers in servicing employee benefit plans Prepare employee census information and coordinate sales appointments and employee enrollment meetings Support high-volume Group Benefits Sales Agents and escalate client issues when appropriate Meet regularly with Sales Agents to review client needs, renewals, and ongoing projects Run reports and proactively manage upcoming group renewals Manage and delegate work to support team members as needed Maintain accurate client records and documentation Submit client requests to insurance carriers and follow through to completion Respond to client inquiries by interpreting benefit plans, policies, and procedures Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives Reconcile benefits billing issues with carrier billing departments Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Contribute to team goals and assist with additional projects as assigned Qualifications Required Experience in the health insurance or employee benefits industry Current California Life & Health Insurance License Minimum of 2 years of professional Account Management experience Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Results-driven with strong attention to detail Education High School Diploma or Some College Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) 401(k) Matching Paid Time Off Additional Requirements Ability to commute to or relocate to La Mesa, CA 91941 prior to employment. Ability to work in an office environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Pay:
$32.00 - $35.00 per hour
