Job Description
Senior Director, Total Rewards — Position Summary The Senior Director, Total Rewards is a strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping and executing Conair's global Total Rewards philosophy. This role oversees the design, implementation, governance, and communication of compensation, benefits, equity, and recognition programs that attract, retain, and inspire talent across all regions. The Senior Director partners closely with executive leadership to ensure Total Rewards programs are competitive, equitable, scalable, and aligned with the business strategy and culture of Conair Brands. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Lead, develop, and inspire a high‑performing global Total Rewards team, including payroll and benefits operations (currently 3 team members). Define and evolve Conair's global Total Rewards strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities, talent needs, and market trends. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CHRO and Executive Management Team on compensation, benefits, equity, and global mobility matters. Compensation & Pay Governance Oversee day‑to‑day management of global compensation programs across Conair divisions ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with policy. Review and approve compensation actions for compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations. Lead global benchmarking efforts, including participation in and analysis of salary surveys across multiple geographies. Develop annual salary planning guidelines and recommendations for senior leadership. Conduct regular market assessments to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures globally. Benefits, Well‑Being & Global Compliance Ensure global health, welfare, retirement, and well‑being programs are competitive, cost‑effective, and compliant with local laws and cultural expectations. Partner with regional HR leaders to adapt benefits offerings to local markets while maintaining alignment with our total rewards philosophy. Ensure all Total Rewards programs comply with global, federal, state, and local regulations, including pay equity and nondiscrimination requirements. Program Governance & Analytics Provide executive leadership with insights, dashboards, and cost modeling to support decision‑making and financial stewardship. Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness, employee experience, and ROI. Support governance of equity and incentive programs, ensuring financial feasibility and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. Manager Enablement & Communication Develop and deliver clear, compelling communication materials that help employees and managers understand Total Rewards programs. Equip managers with tools, training, and guidance to make informed, equitable compensation decisions. Partner with leaders to evaluate new and evolving roles, ensuring accurate job architecture and market alignment. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, or Financial Planning, including experience leading teams and partnering with C‑suite executives. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CCP, CEP, CBP, CEBS, SPHR, PHR) strongly preferred. Expertise in global compensation design and administration, including base pay, incentives, sales compensation, and equity programs. Strong understanding of global labor, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across functions, levels, and geographies. Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills. Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities, with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations. Demonstrated agility, precision, and resilience in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. Strong project management, organizational, and execution skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Environmental Factors:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (10% if needed) This role is onsite in Stamford, CT Monday - Friday and remote on Friday.What we offer:
