Leadership Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Account Manager in pharmacy benefit management (PBM) plays a crucial role in managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth. The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of PBM client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth. This role involves cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding client needs, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to expand services and drive value.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts at all levels. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns. Proactively communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues. Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, discuss trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Account Growth:
Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth within the existing client base as well as new client growth opportunities. Identify and pursue opportunities to expand services and increase revenue. Cross-sell and upsell PBM products and services to meet client needs. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions for clients.
Client Retention:
Monitor client satisfaction levels and proactively address any issues to ensure retention. Conduct regular client surveys and feedback sessions to gather insights. Develop and implement retention strategies to prevent client attrition.
Performance Management:
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor account health and performance. Develop and present reports to clients on service utilization, cost savings, and other relevant metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Industry Knowledge:
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in PBM. Attend relevant conferences and webinars to maintain expertise. Share knowledge and insights with clients to enhance their understanding of PBM.
