US Total Reward Specialist Location:
Gaithersburg, MD Introduction to role The US Total Reward Specialist role offers the chance to deepen expertise across both benefits and compensation in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This position supports key US Total Rewards initiatives spanning Life & Disability, benefits technology, vendor partnerships, and compensation cycle support, helping to deliver a strong employee experience and well-governed, market-competitive programs. Working closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders across HR and the business, this role tackles complex, intellectually stimulating work that has real impact. Accountabilities Partner with the Senior Leave Manager to manage US Life & Disability administration, including day-to-day operations, policy updates, and vendor oversight. Act as technology lead for US Total Rewards tools and the benefits platform, collaborating with digital teams, IT and vendors to maintain efficient, user-friendly processes and ensure data accuracy and timeliness. Help manage vendor relationships across carriers, administrators and platform partners by coordinating issue triage, follow-ups and performance tracking. Provide analytical and tactical support for cyclical compensation activities in partnership with Reward teams and HR partners, contributing to robust planning and execution. Conduct data analyses and provide preliminary interpretation to inform recommendations for US reward and benefits programs. Manage reward data and payments such as Qualifying Earnings, Annual Bonus, International Transfer prorated bonus and equalization payments, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery. Maintain and refresh US Total Reward knowledge resources (including AskAZ, Degreed and Workvivo) so that employees clearly understand the Total Reward value proposition. Act as a point of contact for reward-related policy updates, wellbeing programs, scholarships and escalated Reward ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets, driving clear ownership, timely updates and resolution. Support open enrollment activities, including communications and UAT testing, to help deliver a smooth experience for employees. Essential Skills/Experience 3+ years of experience in health & welfare/retirement benefits administration, leave/Life & Disability, compensation operations, and/or reward analytics (combination of experiences welcomed). Bachelor's degree Desirable Skills/Experience Experience working with HRIS or benefits platforms in a large or complex organization Background in vendor management or third-party administration Exposure to compensation cycles such as annual bonus or salary review Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar case management tools Experience supporting employee communications or knowledge content The annual base pay for this position ranges from $87,172 to $130,758. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
