Account Managers are assigned a book of business comprised of fully insured and self-insured clients. This role is responsible for obtaining clients' trust by meeting their needs and expectations. They are also responsible for supporting our Producers in producing new business and renewing existing business. Account Managers serve as an advocate to our clients and their employees through positive relationships with the various carriers and continuous education. Responsibilities Responsible for client satisfaction, providing excellent customer service and leadership to accounts. Manage a complex book of business with various funding methods, advanced contract features and structure that requires a higher level of experience, technical expertise and customization. Primary contact between clients and insurance carriers. Manage client renewals. Negotiate terms and conditions with carriers on behalf of clients. Lead client meetings regarding renewals and utilization reports. Anticipate client needs and identify the strategies to solve them. Technical expert for clients and internal team members on all compliance topics. Includes, but not limited to, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform. Conduct on site and virtual meetings to communicate or administer benefit plans for clients. Prepare agenda and reports for client meetings. Develop employee communications for renewal changes, enrollment procedures, miscellaneous benefit changes and/or clarifications. Resolution support and oversight of employee issues such as enrollment and billing issues. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits. College degree preferred. Must currently hold life and disability insurance license. Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products. Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Able to define problems and generate potential solutions. Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines. Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends. Good attention to detail and ability to self-check work.
