Employee Benefits Position Summary Swift Kennedy is seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Account Manager to join our Employee Benefits team in our State College office. This individual will serve as a strategic advisor and primary service contact for a portfolio of employer-sponsored group benefit clients, helping organizations design, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of group health, ancillary, and voluntary benefits, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities that improve client outcomes while supporting business growth. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship Management Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned employee benefits clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with HR leaders, CFOs, business owners, and executive teams. Conduct regular client review meetings and annual strategic planning sessions. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction, retention, and engagement. Benefits Strategy & Consulting Analyze benefit plans, utilization trends, and market conditions to develop strategic recommendations. Assist clients with benefit program design, renewal planning, and cost-containment strategies. Present renewal options, funding arrangements, benchmarking data, and carrier recommendations. Collaborate with producers and leadership on self-funded and fully insured benefit strategies. Renewal & Marketing Management Lead the annual renewal process from strategy development through implementation. Coordinate carrier marketing efforts, RFPs, and proposal evaluations. Prepare client-facing reports, presentations, and renewal analyses. Negotiate with carriers and vendors to achieve competitive pricing and enhanced plan offerings. Service & Account Administration Oversee enrollment, eligibility, compliance support, and ongoing service needs. Coordinate resolution of complex claims and coverage issues. Ensure timely delivery of client requests and service commitments. Work closely with internal account coordinators and support staff to manage workflow efficiently. Business Development Support Partner with producers on new business opportunities and client presentations. Participate in finalist meetings and prospect strategy discussions. Identify cross-selling opportunities including voluntary benefits, wellness initiatives, HR technology, and ancillary coverages. Support growth initiatives within the State College market and surrounding region. Compliance & Industry Expertise Maintain working knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and other employee benefits regulations. Stay informed of industry trends, carrier developments, and emerging benefit solutions. Provide clients with relevant compliance updates and educational resources. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Insurance, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in employee benefits consulting, brokerage, or account management. Strong understanding of fully insured, level-funded, and self-funded health plans. Experience managing mid-market and large-group employer accounts. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems. Preferred Pennsylvania Insurance License (Life, Accident & Health) or ability to obtain quickly. CEBS, RHU, REBC, SHRM, or other industry-related designation. Experience with employee benefits technology platforms and enrollment systems. Knowledge of self-funded claims analysis and benchmarking. $68,622.65 - $82,642.34 per year
