This role ensures accuracy, compliance and efficiency across all commission processing, carrier relationships and compensation structures while supporting growth initiatives and high-volume production. The position works closely with executive leadership, finance, operations, compliance and carrier partners. Key Responsibilities Carrier Contracting and Licensing Oversee all carrier appointment, contracting and onboarding processes for producers, agencies and entities Maintain strong working relationships with life insurance carriers and contracting platforms Ensure timely updates to carrier contracts, schedules and commission agreements Coordinate producer licensing and appointment requirements in partnership with compliance and operations Commission Management and Oversight Own end-to-end commission operations including setup, validation, reconciliation and payment Review and approve commission schedules, overrides and special compensation arrangements Ensure accurate commission processing across all product lines including term, permanent, premium finance and advanced markets Resolve commission discrepancies and escalations with carriers, producers and internal stakeholders Financial Controls and Reporting Partner with finance to ensure commission accuracy, proper revenue recognition and audit readiness Develop and maintain commission controls, procedures and documentation Produce regular commission reporting for leadership, producers and partner organizations Support forecasting and modeling related to commissions and overrides Systems and Process Optimization Manage commission and contracting systems such as SureLC, IdeaBridge, DTCC, iPipeline, or similar platforms Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce errors and improve scalability Lead implementation of new tools, integrations or process enhancements Compliance and Risk Management Ensure commission practices comply with carrier guidelines, state regulations and internal policies Support internal and external audits related to commissions and contracting Maintain accurate records and documentation across all producer and carrier relationships Leadership and Collaboration Lead and develop contracts and commissions team members Serve as a key internal resource for producers, advisors and management regarding compensation structures Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, underwriting, advanced markets, finance and legal Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field 10+ years of experience in life insurance operations with deep exposure to BGA commission structures Proven expertise in carrier contracting, producer appointments and commission processing Strong understanding of life insurance products including advanced planning and premium finance Experience with commission and contracting platforms Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Leadership experience managing teams or complex operational functions Preferred Experience Prior experience in a senior operational role at a BGA or large IMO Familiarity with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth distribution models Experience supporting rapid growth or complex compensation arrangements Why This Role Matters This position is critical to protecting revenue integrity, maintaining carrier confidence and ensuring producers are compensated accurately and on time.
