Total Rewards Director Lombard, Illinois (Hybrid) Global Industrial Technology & Advanced Manufacturing Harper Fox Partners has been exclusively engaged to appoint a Director, Total Rewards on behalf of a globally recognised industrial technology and advanced manufacturing organisation entering a major phase of international growth, transformation, and operational scale. This is a highly visible leadership appointment within a high growth, publicly listed global environment, offering the opportunity to shape and modernise Total Rewards strategy across North America, Europe, Asia, and wider international operations. The position also offers strong long-term progression potential as the organisation continues its ambitious growth journey globally. Reporting into the Global Head of People, this individual will lead the strategic and operational direction of compensation, executive rewards, payroll, benefits, governance, and global rewards frameworks whilst partnering closely with senior leadership, finance, legal, internal audit, and regional HR teams internationally. The organisation is targeting significant growth over the coming years and requires a commercially astute, analytically strong and operationally credible leader capable of building scalable infrastructure whilst driving transformation at pace.
Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Global compensation and Total Rewards strategy
  • Executive compensation, equity and stock award programmes
  • Annual compensation cycles, incentives and performance frameworks
  • US payroll oversight and benefits leadership
  • Retirement, 401(k), wellness and Workers Compensation exposure
  • Governance, compliance and public company reporting alignment
  • M&A due diligence and integration activity
  • HRIS, analytics, AI and technology-enabled transformation
  • Global benchmarking, reward harmonisation and organisational scalability
  • Partnership with Board, SLT and international leadership teams
  • Leadership and development of a growing Total Rewards function The successful individual will ideally bring:
  • 10+ years' Total Rewards leadership experience
  • Strong industrial, manufacturing, engineering or operational sector exposure
  • Public company environment experience
  • Deep compensation, payroll, benefits and executive rewards expertise
  • HRIS and systems implementation / optimisation capability (Oracle or ADP advantageous)
  • Strong analytical, financial and Excel capability
  • M&A and integration experience
  • Experience operating within complex global matrix organisations
  • A proactive, collaborative and high-accountability leadership style
  • The ability to influence, modernise and execute in a fast-paced growth environment
Location:
Lombard, Illinois Hybrid:
