Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Retirement Specialist with expertise in 401(k) plans and non-qualified retirement plans programs. This position will report to the Director of Total Rewards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing retirement program to ensure they align with organizational goals and regulatory compliance. Should have Health & Welfare experience as well in order to assist the benefits team during high peak times like Open Enrollment.
Key Responsibilities :
Retirement Plan Administration :
Manage the day-to-day administration of 401(k) and non-qualified retirement plans, ensuring compliance with ERISA and other applicable regulations.Strategic Planning :
Work with senior leadership to design and refine retirement and equity benefit strategies that support employee retention and satisfaction.Employee Support :
Serve as a resource for employees, providing education and guidance on retirement plan options.Regulatory Compliance :
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure all plans comply with federal, state, and local laws.Vendor Collaboration :
Coordinate with third-party administrators, record-keepers, and consultants to optimize plan performance and compliance.Reporting & Analysis :
Prepare regular reports on plan performance, participation rates, and cost analyses to inform organizational decision-making.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in retirement plan administration, including 401(k), non-qualified compensation programs. In-depth knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefit concepts to diverse audiences.
