Job Description

Benefits Administrator Key Responsibilities and Duties Plan Administration :
Oversee daily operations of health, dental, vision, and life insurance FSA and disability plans, adhering to the Service Contract Act (SCA) as it relates to the management of Health and Welfare dollars for employees. Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, FMLA hour tracking using ADP Comprehensive Benefits platform. Process enrollments, answer employee inquiries, and ensure compliance with ERISA and HIPAA. Liaising with insurance vendors.
Enrollment & Records:
Manage new hire benefits enrollment, open enrollment periods for health, and FSA, maintain accurate employee records.
Employee Support:
Act as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues, and conducting educational sessions at employee locations as needed.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all plans comply with federal and state regulations, manage audits, and assist payroll with handling the ACA reporting through ADP and the insurance Broker.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with third-party administrators, brokers, auditors and insurance carriers. Communications and gathering of employees and 401(k) Health and Welfare (H&W) data for annual compliance audits.
Leave Administration:
Process FMLA and personal leaves of absence; tracking FMLA hours working closely with HR. Payroll/HR /
Ops Coordination:
Collaborate with payroll, Ops, and HR to ensure an accurate, timely flow of information. Health and Welfare(H& W ): Manage all facets of updating H&W worksheets for benefits Open Enrollment, rate changes, and new contracts that affect H&W dollars uploading the worksheets in the employees ADP files. Form I-9 managemen t, making sure the information received is clear and accurate. Updating Form I-9 as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience with an SCA-regulated government contractor and the
ADP HRIS
system.
ADP HRIS
System experience is mandatory. Deltek Costpoint experience helpful.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of employee benefits packages to include health, dental, vision, Legal Resources, FSA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA regulations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with HRIS (ADP Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office (specifically Excel), and Teams.
Soft Skills:
High level of confidentiality, strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, self-starter, and high degree of patience. Stay current with best practices for group benefit plans of this size. Relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-CP) are a plus.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
