Jul 1, 2026 Job Description The Barre Unified Union School District is seeking an energetic, service-oriented Benefits & Leave Manager to join our Central Office team and play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our employees. This is more than a benefits administration position—it's an opportunity to help create a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. The Benefits & Leave Manager will be the district's expert and trusted resource for employee benefits, leave administration, and wellness initiatives. They will collaborate with employees, administrators, labor partners, and benefit providers to ensure our staff receive exceptional support throughout every stage of their careers. This role will directly impact the experience of hundreds of educators and support professionals who shape the future of our students, including benefits administration, leave management, compliance & reporting, and employee support and communication. Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered) Broad HR experience, with a keen understanding of benefits administration, FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation Experience with payroll systems is a plus Excellent organizational and communication skills A mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay range is $65,000 - $72,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package includes: health & dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, 5% employer contribution to 403B, vacation time & paid time off
