Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE
In order to improve the quality of life of diverse cultural and linguistic communities in the City of Little Rock, the Multicultural Liaison Assistant will support the implementation of plans, strategies, programs, and services that identify and address the needs and issues of multicultural communities; assist with raising awareness of multicultural programs and services and provide educational opportunities to increase understanding and access to city and community-based services and resources; assist with the administration of the City's Municipal Identification Card Program. This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening. For a complete list of essential job functions please click HERE. These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of college coursework in social work, social welfare, public administration, business administration, or a related area, or one (1) year of documented community based experience serving as an advocate on behalf of large multicultural groups or related area to include written and oral fluency in both English and Spanish languages. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must be bilingual and able to speak and write fluently in both English and Spanish languages. Must be available to work outside of regular working hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
