Head Start Inclusion Coach The Inclusion Specialist promotes inclusive practices for children with disabilities in Early Head Start and Head Start programs, ensuring meaningful participation in classroom and home-based settings.
In this role you will:
Conduct observations and inclusion assessments in classroom and home-based environments Provide individualized coaching, consultation, and modeling to support inclusive practices Guide staff on environmental modifications, accommodations, and embedded learning opportunities Collaborate with families, staff, and service providers to develop inclusion support plans Create individualized goals and strategies that support participation in daily routines Design and deliver targeted training on inclusion and developmentally appropriate practices Provide follow-up support to strengthen staff implementation and effectiveness What it takes: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field. Master's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred. 5 years of experience working with children with disabilities, birth to 5, in a home-based and/or classroom-based setting. 2 years of experience with assessment, coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance in implementing inclusive practices with program staff and service providers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic diversity. Possess an insured & reliable vehicle and a valid AZ driver's license.
