The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights (KCHR) is the premier civil and human rights agency in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The mission of the Commission is to eradicate discrimination in the Commonwealth through enforcement of the Kentucky Civil Rights Act. To do this, the agency receives, investigates and litigates, complaints of discrimination. KCHR looks for individuals who have a demonstrated passion for civil rights and years of experience working in civil rights and justice-oriented positions, on behalf of Kentucky's protected classes. We seek persons who understand and are driven by the belief that all Kentuckians deserve to be treated equally, in relation to housing, employment and public accommodations, no matter who they are. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Receiving, processing and tracking inquires, alleging discrimination, from the public. Conducting interviews by phone, email, and in person to gather information for complaints of discrimination. Providing administrative support for education and outreach efforts of the Commission. Representing the agency at the front desk on a part time basis. Agency prefers candidate fluent in Spanish. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
