Job Description

Piedmont Claims Associates is seeking a high-performing Licensed Insurance Rep to serve as the firm's Lead Insurance Manager , overseeing Insurance operations and ensuring compliant, professional Insurance services across daily and various insurance assignments. This is a key leadership role for a Insurance professional who wants more than just field work — this opportunity offers the ability to help shape the operations of a growing firm and step into a long-term leadership partnership as the company scales. The firm Owner acts as Business Development & Client Relations , while the Lead Adjuster will serve as the licensed operational lead responsible for execution, training, file quality, carrier compliance, and claims outcomes. Key Responsibilities Oversight & Handling Lead the handling of daily Insurance growth tasks (residential and commercial) Become certified in a variety of Insurance software, documentation, estimating, negotiations, and file submissions Ensure compliance are handled according to carrier guidelines and state regulations Deliver accurate, defensible estimates, quotes using industry tools (Xactimate preferred) Operational Leadership Serve as the primary licensed leader and point of contact for carriers/TPAs on claim execution Build and maintain internal adjusting workflows, SOPs, and file standards Monitor claim cycle times, estimate quality, and customer service benchmarks Manage file audits, supplements, dispute resolution, and escalation issues Team Leadership & Growth Assist in recruiting, vetting, and onboarding additional adjusters as assignments grow Train junior adjusters in field performance, file compliance, estimating accuracy, and carrier expectations Support Property Casualty & deployment divisions, planning during catastrophe events (staffing, volume management, reporting) Compliance & Professional Standards Maintain all required adjuster licensing and continuing education Ensure firm and adjusters meet all compliance standards: documentation, ethics, data handling, and reporting Support licensing strategy for firm expansion into additional states as needed Required Qualifications Active License (DHS or State License) in [Your State] (multi-state licensing preferred) 1+ years working in insurance industry. Strong estimating skills and file-writing discipline Experience working with carriers, IA firms, or TPAs Knowledge of Insurance documentation standards and compliance expectations Valid driver's license and ability to gain additional insurance license(s) Preferred Qualifications Xactimate Level 1/2 certification or ability to gain additional insurance license(s) Prior experience in leadership role (team lead, QA, file reviewer, desk lead) Ability to help build processes and operate like a "business-within-a-business" Strong professional communication and client-facing confidence Success Metrics (How You'll Be Measured) Your individual ability & vision to grow the company Quality of quotes, estimates and file documentation Pass rate on audits / reduced file rejections Customer satisfaction / professionalism Ability to successfully lead & grow an Insurance team Why This Role Is Different This is not a regular Insurance sales position. This is a licensed leadership role with the opportunity to grow into a long-term partnership in a rapidly scaling insurance firm.
