Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Employment/ Community Inclusion Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their journey towards meaningful employment and building meaningful relationships in the community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, workforce development, and mentoring, and will be committed to educating and empowering clients to achieve their goals. This position will start out Part time and then transition to full time as our client base grows.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have the ability to satisfy a background check and comply with the company's drug free workplace policy. Must provide proof of current driver's license and insurance. Must secure and maintain First aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment. Must be willing to travel to Asotin County to provide services. Must live in Whitman County. Must be a self-starter and able to manage your own schedule and case load. Duties Conduct assessments to understand the skills, interests, and needs of clients. Develop individualized employment and Community Inclusion plans that align with clients' strengths and aspirations. Provide training development to enhance job readiness skills, including resume writing, interviewing techniques, and workplace etiquette. Facilitate job placements by connecting clients with potential employers and advocating for their needs. Offer ongoing support and mentoring to clients in their new roles to ensure successful integration into the workforce. Collaborate with community organizations and employers to create job opportunities tailored for individuals with developmental disabilities. Maintain accurate records of client progress and employment outcomes. Educate employers on best practices for hiring and supporting employees with diverse needs. Participates as part of individual's support team by attending annual meetings conducted by DDA. Provides feedback to the Manager about any changes that may be needed in an individual's service plan to help them better attain their goals. Provide in person services in the community to each person on ones case load at least one time each week in accordance to their Community Inclusion Plan. Maintains an accurate and detailed record of services delivered, and time worked Daily. Submits all documentation in a timely manner. Attends and participates in scheduled staff meetings and completes required training. Create your schedule to satisfy hours assigned to you and each person served Maintains positive and professional relationships and good communication with co-workers, supervisor, and all other employees and Individuals supported at True North Employment Solutions. Complete other Duties as assigned Experience Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong skills in recruiting, Sales, workforce development, and training development. Demonstrated ability to mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent interviewing skills to effectively assess client qualifications and fit for various roles. A passion for helping others succeed in their journeys.
