Cases have major effects on career or service as they may result in unfavorable career separion or loss of stus. Performs final review on file prior to review and action by a board, action officer, or others and ensures th all levels of legal, medical, and administrive review have been completed. Summarizes salient facts and issues; analyzes case informion; outlines options; and recommends approprie action. Ensures th regulory requirements reled to the specific action are met. Participes in SRP and command inspection program. Identifies gaps or inconsistencies in records and inities action or interviews personnel to obtain needed da. Participes in unit Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) for those units whose service members are being mobilized to active duty. Performs personnel and administrive actions reled to deployment manning documents. Supports reorganizion/activion/deactivion. Reviews and processes requests for retention beyond mandory removal de and evaluion reports. 2. Researches and obtains all necessary, relevant informion regarding cases and issues and provides explanions and interpretions of rules, regulions, procedures, and requirements pertaining to actions taken or recommended. Drafts or prepares reled correspondence for approprie signure and enters da in automed systems, as needed. Retrieves da from informion sources, both manual and electronic, for use in answering questions, responding to correspondence, or preparing reports or briefings. Prepares General Officer nominion packet. Ensures completeness and proper forwarding of records to approprie board. Processes Officer over strength/additional Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) authorizions. Provides advice, guidance, and training to other personnel on actions in areas of expertise, as well as, advice, instructions, training, and interpretions, as needed, to lower echelons. 3. If serving as the primary assistant to the Military Funeral Honors or Casualty Assistance programs then you serve as the primary point of contact, coordinor, and advisor for questions regarding Military Funeral Honors and/or Casualty Assistance. Provides advisory services to family members of deceased military members (current and former) and serves as a liaison between the family and funeral directors and their assistants, Veterans Services Organizions, Veterans Affairs Offices, Nional Guard Bureau (NGB), Regional Casualty Assistance Coordinor (CAC), and other military services and/or members. Provides assistance to the family members by advising them of the deceased member's entitlements and provides informion or assistance with filling out any required forms. Maintains files and libraries of current funeral/casualty merial including policies, procedures, and guidance from Department of Defense (DoD), NGB, Regional CAC, and the Veterans Administrion. Coordines with the Regional CAC, Funeral Home, Honor Guard, supporting military unit, and each Casualty Assistance Officer/Casualty Notificion Officer (CAO/CNO) to ensure all requests for funerals and casualty assistance are supported. Collects da from various sources for stistical purposes regarding Funeral Honors and Casualty Assistance, which may also be used to project budgetary requirements. Coordines with NGB and Regional CAC for assistance and support in the conduct of training in the program. Performs other duties as assigned. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Specialized experience may include human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject mter or processes used in human resources programs associed with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force, or similar human resources experience.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY POSITION
  • -Comprehensive knowledge of the laws, rules, regulions, policies, procedures, and precedents reling to the area of assignment; and the ability to apply this knowledge in the interpretion and applicion of regulory and procedural requirements to complex cases.
  • -Knowledge of computer dabases, personnel management systems and pay management systems. Proficiency in analytical mh and have effective oral and written communicion skills with a customer service support base.
  • -Ability to provide, and perform a segment of the human resource actions which requires knowledge of processing a variety of unique official personnel tasks.
  • -Knowledge of requirements for proposed action to ensure th documention is correct and sufficient; ability to review organizional records, duty codes, medical, and educional regulions in order to analyze the informion and determine the propriety of the action submitted and th all levels of legal, medical, and administrive review are complete.
  • -Ability to deal cooperively with others to obtain needed informion, to complete required case processing, and to explain decisions or recommendions to interested parties.
