Job Description

Overview:
Family owned and operated for over 75 years, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are recruiting an HR Assistant/Receptionist at Pictsweet's Clarksville, AR facility. This position is responsible to support the Clarksville plant. Incumbent will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the plant reception area and human resource department. This is a safety sensitive position. This role maintains confidentiality of information and ensures safety systems are in place for the production of quality food products manufactured under clean and safe conditions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the Clarksville Plant reception area, and greeting customers, vendors, guests. Provides administrative support to the HR Department and Management. Maintains office machines (phone system, copy machine, etc.), and supplies. Processes incoming and outgoing mail including Federal Express/UPS shipments. Work closely with HR Manager and facility personnel to monitoring compliance with regulatory guidelines relating to food safety and associate safety such as FDA, USDA, and OSHA. Complies with all other regulations and laws affecting the company (business law, trade secrets, human resources practices, etc.). Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, collating/packaging and distributing checks. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation. Serves as backup to the HR Manager. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field of study preferred, but not required. Minimum 3 years of office experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal awareness along with customer orientation skills such as the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Experienced with or the ability to quickly learn HCMS systems such as UKG/KRONOS, and similar computer applications.
