Job Description

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting plant operations by ensuring accurate HR administration, delivering a strong employee experience, and coordinating recruiting and onboarding efforts. This position partners closely with employees and leadership to maintain compliance, promote a positive culture, and keep HR processes running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Ensure personnel changes, documentation, HRIS updates, and employee file maintenance are completed accurately and on time, supporting compliance and data-driven decision-making Deliver a positive employee experience by responding to employees and supervisors with clarity, professionalism, and urgency Participate in Gemba walks, EH&S initiatives, and WCM activities to stay connected to daily operations and workforce needs Apply knowledge of company policies and plant procedures to ensure fair, consistent practices and clear communication Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly and early-career roles, including job postings, coordination, and offer processing Create a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience that reflects company culture and values Manage a high-volume workload by effectively prioritizing tasks and maintaining strong attention to detail Collaborate cross-functionally to anticipate needs, resolve issues quickly, and support plant leadership Demonstrate independence, reliability, and sound judgment as a trusted partner to the organization Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred 1+ year of Human Resources experience preferred, ideally within a manufacturing environment 1+ year of administrative experience required Strong working knowledge of HR processes, data accuracy standards, and basic compliance concepts Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and supporting multiple sites Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced plant environment Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred but not required Through the responsible development of innovative and sustainable building products, CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has helped shape the building products industry for more than 110 years.
