The purpose of this position is to serve as the final reviewer and procedural authority of personnel actions submitted to the MILPO by lower echelons. Work is to be performed in one or more of the following work areas: Officer or Enlisted Personnel Management (OPM, EPM); Retirement Points Accounting Management (RPAM); Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP); Montgomery G.I. Bill; Line of Duty (LOD) investigions; Standard Installion and Division Personnel System (SIDPERS) ); Physical Disability Evaluion System (PDES) to include MEB/PEB; Incapacition Pay (INCAP); Mobilizion (MOB)/Demobilizion (DEMOB); Military Medical Support Office (MMSO); Community Based Health Care Organizion (CBHCO); and Warrior Transition Unit (WTU); Active Duty Medical Extensions (ADME); Medical Retention Processing 2 (MRP2); Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP).
DUTIES:
(1) Serves as a final reviewer or processor of actions, which may include but are not limited to: Research and draft responses to Legislive and IG inquiries, Evaluion Reports (NCOER/OER), accessions, promotions, reductions, discharges, transfers, separions, boards, evaluions, Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP), promotion eligibility, retirement eligibility, and actions th affect eligibility of educional or incentive benefits as well as sensitive, complex cases, which involve: allegions of inequitable, prejudiced, or similar trement (e.g. issues of fraudulent enlistment or assignment; removal of military member from active or inactive stus). Performs complete review of records and other case documention to ensure th they are procedurally correct, complete, and documention is sufficient for action being taken and th all levels of legal, medical, pay and administrive review have been completed. Cases have major effects on career or service as they may result in unfavorable career separion or loss of stus. Ensures th regulory requirements reled to the specific action are met. Identifies gaps or inconsistencies in the record and inities action or interviews personnel to obtain needed da. Performs personnel and administrive actions reled to deployment manning documents and administrive medical processing. (2) Researches and obtains all necessary, relevant informion regarding cases and issues and provides explanions and interpretions of rules, regulions, procedures, and requirements pertaining to actions taken or recommended. Forwards cases to the approprie action officer for final review and decisions. Drafts or prepares reled correspondence for approprie signure and enters da in automed systems, as needed. Manages da from informion sources, both manual and electronic, for use in answering questions, responding to correspondence, or preparing reports or briefings and compiling stistical da for projected FY requirements. Ensures completeness and proper forwarding of records to approprie board. Provides advice and guidance to other personnel on actions in areas of expertise, as well as, advice, instructions, and interpretions, as needed, to lower echelons. Processes tax refund for reenlistment bonus for Soldier in Comb Zone (CZ) or Qualified Hazardous Duty Area (QHDA). Inities work requests to outside agencies. (3) Provides support to maintain a variety of automed systems and interfaces used to manage service members both locally and stewide. Reviews transaction reports from previous days inputs for errors, corrects inaccure da, and resubmits transaction for upde to Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and local dabases. Provides technical guidance and training to all supported activities concerning transaction processing and system software. Identifies training needs of system users and tailors training to meet those needs. Develops installion Program of Instruction (POI) and functional training package. Determines type, length and frequency of training. Conducts formal and informal system and functional training. Assists in on-site training as requested or required by supported units. (4) Participes in unit Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), and in organizional inspection program. Provides counseling to service member on available benefits; accuracy of the emergency da and contact informion and the accuracy of the

(Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System/Realtime Automed Personnel Identificion System) informion; and allows the service member to perform a general review of their record. (5) Performs other duties as assigned.

ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army Nional Guard, in a military organizion supported by the G1. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Incumbent must possess and maintain a current ste driver's license. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Incumbent must possess and maintain the approprie security clearance of the position.
