260 days / 8 hours per day Classified Placement Chart Column J Position Summary Coordinates and supports the day-to-day operations of the district's human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and compliance activities. Ensures accurate processing, consistent application of policies, and efficient HR service delivery across the district. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Administration Coordinate daily HR operations, including hiring processes, onboarding, employee status changes, and separations. Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure proper documentation in employee files. Process and track employment actions (contracts, pay changes, assignments, terminations). Recruitment & Onboarding Post job openings, screen applications, and coordinate interview logistics. Facilitate onboarding processes, including new hire documentation and orientation support. Ensure all pre-employment requirements (e.g., background checks, certifications) are completed. Benefits Administration Support benefits enrollment processes, including open enrollment coordination. Assist employees with benefit-related questions and system navigation (e.g., enrollment platform). Coordinate communication and distribution of benefits materials. Compliance & Reporting Assist with compliance requirements related to federal, state, and district policies. Prepare and maintain records for audits and required reporting. Ensure HR processes align with established procedures and timelines. Employee Support & Relations Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR processes and policies. Provide guidance to staff and supervisors on routine HR matters. Escalate complex employee relations issues to HR leadership. HR Systems & Data Management Maintain and update HRIS systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Generate reports and assist with data tracking for staffing, leave, and compliance purposes. Support system processes related to payroll and personnel data. Policy & Process Support Support implementation of HR policies and procedures. Assist in communicating updates and ensuring consistent application across sites. Supervisory Responsibilities None (may provide guidance to site staff on HR processes). Minimum Qualifications Experience in human resources, administrative support, or related field. Working knowledge of HR processes, employment practices, and recordkeeping requirements. Experience in public sector or education environment preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and administrative skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in data and documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Work Environment Office-based with regular interaction across district departments and sites. Physical Requirements Standard office environment; may require occasional travel between district locations.
Pay:
$21.50 - $32.00 per hour
