Job Type:
Part Time, Entry-Level Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level HR Assistant to join our team. This fully on-site role is perfect for someone looking to launch their career in Human Resources within a meaningful, mission-driven environment. You will be the administrative backbone of our HR department, assisting with the onboarding of new hires, supporting payroll administration via Paylocity, and maintaining accurate employee records. Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding & Recruitment Support New Hire Onboarding:
Coordinate and facilitate the administrative side of onboarding, including preparing new hire packets, tracking background checks, and ensuring paperwork is completed.
Recruiting Assistance:
Support talent acquisition efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews for hiring managers, and communicating with candidates.
Offboarding Coordination:
Assist with the administrative offboarding process for departing employees.
Payroll & Data Administration Payroll & HRIS Support:
Help maintain and update our HR software ( Paylocity ) with accurate employee data, hours, and status changes.
Record Keeping:
Maintain digital and physical employee files with strict confidentiality, ensuring compliance with federal and California labor standards.
Reporting:
Assist in gathering data for HR reporting, audits, and compliance tracking.
Team Support & Culture Employee Inquiries:
Act as a welcoming point of contact for staff regarding basic HR questions, directing them to the appropriate resources when needed.
Office Collaboration:
Provide general administrative support to the leadership team to keep our office running smoothly.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
Location:
Ability to work 100% on-site at our Cupertino, CA office.
Education/Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field), OR 1+ years of experience in an administrative/customer service role.
Tech Savvy:
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace. Familiarity with HRIS tools (especially Paylocity ) is a massive plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Attention to

Exceptional organizational skills and data-entry accuracy.
Confidentiality:
High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive, personal employee information with total discretion.
Communication:
Friendly, professional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
An interest in or passion for behavioral health, special education, or ABA therapy. Basic understanding of California workplace guidelines (OSHA, meal breaks, etc.).
