Job Summary Job Summary The job of Benefits Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing customer service and support to the delivery of all aspects of employee benefits and benefit information; resolving insurance benefit, retirement, reporting and reconciliation problems; providing information to new and current employees, providers and/or administrators; and ensuring employee proof of coverage and accurate billing. Qualifications Experience:
Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
Education:
Targeted job-related education that meets organization's prerequisite requirements.
Certificates & Licenses:
Current typing certificate at an acceptable rate of speed Must possess a valid California Driver's License During course of employment; must be insurable at standard rates and maintain such insurability during the course of Employment. Clearances Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance TB Clearance Physical Exam Drug Screen Must complete any mandatory training assigned by the District that is generally applicable to all classified employees or employees in this classification in particular.
Required Testing:
Testing is required and will tentatively take place on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Grossmont Union High School District. Testing is by invitation only. To be considered for this position, you must individually attach the following items to your completed Edjoin application: Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters required, written and dated within the last 12 months is preferred.) Other (Typing Certificate) Resume Requirements /
