We are seeking a professional, organized, and service-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our growing HR team. This role serves as the front line of Human Resources and is often the first point of contact for applicants, employees, visitors, and business partners. As a nationwide provider of private security and facilities maintenance services with over 5,000 employees, you'll gain exposure to a variety of HR functions including onboarding, compliance, employee support, recruiting coordination, and HR administration. What You'll Do As an HR Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting employees, applicants, managers, and HR initiatives while helping create a positive experience from first contact through employment. Employee & Candidate Experience Serve as the first point of contact for applicants, employees, visitors, and business partners contacting the Human Resources department Create a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for all internal and external customers Answer and route HR-related inquiries while providing exceptional customer service Support candidates and new hires throughout the hiring and onboarding process Assist with new hire orientations and onboarding activities Help employees navigate HR processes, forms, and resources Coordinate interviews, meetings, and employee appointments as needed Maintain a professional front-office presence and support daily office operations Human Resources Administration Assist with the administration and maintenance of employee personnel records and HR documentation Maintain accurate employee files and ensure records are compliant and up to date Support data entry and HRIS maintenance activities Prepare employment-related forms, reports, and correspondence Assist with employment verifications and employee record requests Help ensure HR documentation is properly organized and retained Compliance & Reporting Assist with HR audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements Support I-9, E-Verify, and employment documentation processes as applicable Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws Track required employee documentation and certifications Assist with workforce reporting and recordkeeping requirements HR Operations Support Partner with Recruiting and HR team members throughout the hiring and onboarding process Support policy distribution and employee communications Assist with special HR projects and departmental initiatives Coordinate meetings, trainings, and employee-related activities Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Professional verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Comfortable interacting with employees, applicants, executives, and visitors at all levels Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Human Resources certificate or related HR coursework preferred Prior administrative, receptionist, customer service, or office support experience preferred Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or People Operations Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor Service-minded individual who enjoys helping people Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Join Us?
