Job Description

A prestigious AmLaw firm is seeking a contract Legal Recruiting Assistant to support its in-house legal recruiting function. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is interested in gaining hands-on experience within legal recruiting at a top-tier law firm. This role will work closely with the firm's Legal Recruiter and interact with attorneys, partners, and internal departments to support both recruiting and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting Support:
Assist with candidate sourcing efforts and resume reviewCoordinate and schedule phone screenings and interviewsUtilize the firm's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to post job openings and track candidate activityConduct basic candidate searches within the ATSMonitor job postings and response volume; provide updates to the recruiting teamCommunicate with candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the recruiting process
Onboarding & Administrative Support:
Assist with onboarding new attorneys, including creating and maintaining physical and electronic filesPrepare onboarding materials, coordinate training schedules, and ensure all documentation is properly organized and scannedAssemble folders and maintain accurate records for new hires
Operations & Coordination:
Support contractor onboarding and invoicing processesManage timecard approvals and run weekly timekeeping reports for partner reviewFollow up with partners to ensure timely approvals of time and invoicesCoordinate with internal departments (e.g., accounting) on various requestsProvide general administrative support to the recruiting function and legal team
