Job Description

About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to support the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks and employee support. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in Human Resources while gaining hands-on experience across HR operations, onboarding, and employee support. Key Responsibilities Assist with new hire onboarding , including preparing paperwork, coordinating orientation, and maintaining employee files Support the HR team with data entry and maintaining accurate employee records in HR systems Respond to employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries Assist with benefits administration , including enrollments and employee updates Help coordinate recruiting efforts , including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates Maintain and update HR documentation, policies, and internal resources Support payroll preparation by ensuring employee information is accurate and up to date Assist with HR reporting and tracking using spreadsheets and HR systems Provide general administrative support to the HR department and assist with special projects as needed Qualifications 1-3 years of administrative or HR support experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
