This is a Seasonal position located on-site at our Modesto Cannery and Employee Services Department. The Seasonal Recruiting Clerk supports the Employee Services Administrator by assisting with sourcing, scheduling, and applicant tracking. They help coordinate interviews, maintain recruitment records, and communicate with candidates and hiring managers. This role ensures a smooth hiring process and contributes to a positive candidate experience. During our Harvest season, you will be expected to work at least 6 days a week. Our season runs from mid-July through the end of September but could extend. This position will be primarily responsible for: Assisting with posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and maintaining candidate pipelines. Scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and preparing interview materials. Greeting and escorting candidates during onsite interviews. Maintaining applicant tracking system records and updating job postings. Supporting job fairs, campus outreach, and recruitment events. Helping prepare offer letters, collect new‑hire documents, and assisting with onboarding. Providing general HR administrative support including filing, data entry, and responding to applicant inquiries. Ensuring hiring activities follow company policies and employment laws. Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required. 1-2 years of administrative or HR support experience. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish, or in English and Punjabi. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment and handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with UKG Pro or other HRIS time systems.
Physical Requirements:
Rare lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; rare stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 25% or less walking, and 50% or less standing. The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and in an office environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 35 lbs. is required.
