DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES
Interact and assist all visitors, Team Members, and all departmental heads in a polite and professional manner at all times. May assist, if applicable, in translation within the Human Resources Department, with other departments of Eagle Mountain Casino, and guests. The ability to prioritize, communicate progress, and effectively report outcomes or projects. Explain and ensure all new hire packets and paperwork are completed and communicated to the proper personnel for processing. Generate and maintain various reports, charts, flyers, memos, correspondence, and spreadsheets. Adheres to regulatory, legal, company, and departmental policies and procedures. Reply and maintain all the correspondences that arrive at the Human Resources front office in a timely and efficient manner at all times. Maintain confidentiality and discretion and protect the assets and information of the company/personnel files within the scope of duties. Assist with resolving Team Member conflicts/complaints and/or refers to the appropriate department or individual, for proper resolution. Responsible for delivery and pick up of mail and dispensing to appropriate personnel. Responsible for filing, maintaining, and transferring of all personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Ensure that all job verifications are processed in a timely manner. Maintain inventory/supplies/file room; interact with outside suppliers and vendors as directed. Maintain, dispense, and assist with updating various Human Resources forms, gaming license notices, birthday cards, and weekly reminders regarding title changes/new hires to the appropriate personnel. Ensure that all posting on Team Member communications boards are up to date and in compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain and update the Human Resources system to ensure information is accurate and up to date. May provide administrative support to Human Resources staff including interviewing and training as needed. All other departmental duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to problem solve, as assist in conflict resolution. Maintain consistent attendance and availability as needed for position. Previous experience in Human Resources, a plus. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have strong verbal, written, communication, organizational, data, and clerical skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Publisher preferred. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Spanish preferred. Must possess alpha and numerical filing and data entry skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to train and travel. Valid California Drivers License and be insurable with Eagle Mountain Casino, preferred. Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license with the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit. Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repeatedly required to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The noise level is usually low, increasing to loud when on the casino floor. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
