Description Human Resources Administrator - Job Description Position Summary The Human Resources (HR) Administrator provides essential support to the HR department by managing administrative tasks related to employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and record-keeping. This role ensures smooth HR operations and helps maintain a positive and compliant workplace environment. Key Responsibilities 1. HR Administration & Support Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases Prepare and process employee documentation (contracts, offer letters, changes in status) Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries Support audits and ensure proper documentation of HR files 2. Recruitment & Onboarding Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling Coordinate new hire onboarding processes and orientation sessions Prepare onboarding materials and ensure a smooth transition for new employees 3. Employee Relations Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures Support HR team in handling employee concerns and resolving workplace issues Promote company culture and employee engagement initiatives 4. Benefits & Payroll Support Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and changes Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate employee data and compensation processing Track leave requests, attendance, and compliance with company policies 5. Compliance & Policies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Assist in updating and communicating HR policies and procedures Support internal audits and regulatory reporting requirements 6. Reporting & Data Management Generate HR reports and metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, attendance) Maintain confidentiality of employee information Use HR systems (HRIS) to track and manage employee data Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3 years of experience in HR or administrative support role Basic knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and labor regulations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS experience preferred Preferred Qualifications HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) Experience with HR software systems (Workday, ADP, SAP, etc.) Experience supporting multi-state or large workforce environments Key Competencies Confidentiality and integrity Organization and time management Problem-solving and critical thinking Customer service orientation Adaptability and teamwork Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Riverside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
