Overview:
Position Overview The Human Resources Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with California's meal and rest break laws as well as federal, state and local ordinance labor poster requirements and state filings. This role focuses on monitoring and reporting compliance metrics, conducting internal audits, and analyzing data to identify and address compliance gaps. The HR Compliance Coordinator will manage and maintain documentation, support third-party and government reviews, and assist with department initiatives and projects. By implementing effective systems and procedures, the HR Compliance Coordinator plays a critical role in fostering a culture of accountability, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting the company's overall goals.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities Monitoring and Reporting Review, track, and document meal period violations/penalties. Conduct regular internal audits to evaluate adherence to policies and procedures, identify areas of improvement, and document findings. Analyze data and reports to identify compliance gaps related to operational processes. Perform periodic audits on projects to ensure compliance. Report data to state Bureau of Labor Statistics and other similar state filings when necessary. Labor Poster Compliance Ensure compliance with all labor poster laws, regulations, and company policies. Work with 3rd party vendor to ensure posters are delivered timely to the accurate locations, auditing our subscriptions to add new or remove locations when appropriate Data Management and Documentation Maintain and prepare files, records, documents and reports as requested. Compile information requested for exams, audits and testing. Prepare compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal/external information. Administrative and Project Support Provide administrative support by implementing systems, policies, procedures, etc. Assist with department initiatives, diligence efforts, and other projects as assigned. Miscellaneous Perform other duties as assigned to support Human Resources and corporate objectives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in data analysis and reporting Strong technical skills, especially with Microsoft Excel Familiarity with HRIS systems and software; Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently Attention to detail to identify potential compliance issues
Compensation and Benefits:
Reports To Director of HR Compliance Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for the position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Base:
$27.50 - $32.50 per hour
Bonus:
10% Target Bonus Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $62,500 - $80,000
