Job Description

The City of South Lake Tahoe is recruiting for a Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide short-term support within the Human Resources Division. This position performs a variety of general administrative, clerical, and customer service duties in support of day-to-day HR operations. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted for an interview. Under the direction of the HR Manager, the Temporary Administrative Assistant will assist with tasks such as document preparation, recordkeeping, scheduling, data entry, file maintenance, and other general office support duties as assigned. This role is intended to help maintain efficient department operations and provide administrative assistance across a range of HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and interested in supporting a wide range of Human Resources functions. This is a temporary assignment working 40 hours per week for approximately 3 months. Candidates should be organized, dependable, and able to handle a variety of administrative tasks in a professional and confidential manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience performing administrative or office support duties
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
