  • $20•$22/hr on W2 Responsibilities • Answer phones (the main HR line) and direct calls accordingly • Assemble and file new hire packets • Meet with new hire's to collect onboarding documents • Manage our HR email account • Print termination packets for distribution • HR filing • Print/assemble orientation packets • Other duties as assigned 1.
Responds to all incoming telephone calls to the department's main telephone number; courteously answers the telephone and identifies self. Screens incoming calls and directs to appropriate department personnel when necessary. 2. Readily offers assistance to individuals and employees who visit the department. Addresses questions or concerns; refers questions to appropriate personnel if unable to answer question(s). 3. Completes and submits verification of employment documentation within established timeframe. 4. Responds to employee's requests for information regarding leave of absences; provides explanation of leave types available to employees. 5. Determines leave eligibility and communicates timely to employees in writing regarding the status of initial, extension and recertification requests for leave. 6. Ensures timely return of certification and leave of absence request documents; reviews forms for completeness and accuracy, notifies employees of errors and omissions, assists employees with completing forms as needed. 7. Informs managers when employees are approved, extended or recertified for leave; includes guidance to managers regarding use of Combined Time Off while on leave. 8. Creates and maintains employee leave files. 9. Maintains a summary report of the status of all employees participating in an active or intermittent leave. 10. Ensures employees are submitting timely payments for benefits during a leave, collects, tracks and negotiates payments due. Recommends cancellation of benefits due to non-payment to the Director of Human Resources per guidelines. 11. Completes State Disability, Short Term and Long Term Disability claim forms as needed for employees on a leave. 12. Maintains an adequate supply of brochures and packets related to various leave of absences. 13. Prepares and maintains a variety of reports on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis; ensures all reports contain accurate information for areas of data responsibility. 14. Prepares a wide variety of employment-related correspondence; ensures all correspondence is clear with no errors on final draft. 15. Prioritizes and manages time effectively, shows initiative, refrains from non-work-related activities. 16. Communicates to the Director of Human Resources any circumstances that compromise the integrity, confidentiality, or safety of the Health System and its staff.
