Full Job Description Scheduler & Workforce Coordinator Location:
Torrance, CA Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
OVERVIEW
The Scheduler & Workforce Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily employee scheduling and job coverage for a janitorial services company. This role ensures that all job sites are properly staffed, shifts are covered, and employees are following assigned schedules, including required lunch breaks and compliance with company policies. This position requires strong communication skills in both English and Spanish and daily use of the Connecteam platform to manage schedules, attendance, and workforce coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Coverage Management Create, update, and manage employee schedules using Connecteam scheduling software. Maintain workforce coverage reports and scheduling dashboards. Enter and update employee information. Ensure all janitorial job sites are properly staffed and coverage is maintained at all times. Coordinate shift replacements, call-outs, and emergency coverage needs. Monitor daily attendance and proactively address staffing gaps.
Workforce Oversight:
Oversee employee clock-ins, clock-outs, and lunch break compliance. Ensure employees are following assigned routes, sites, and schedules. Communicate schedule changes and updates clearly in both English and Spanish. Track employee availability, time-off requests, and attendance patterns.
Communication & Coordination:
Serve as the main point of contact for scheduling issues and workforce coordination. Communicate with supervisors, site leads, and field employees as needed. Provide clear instructions and timely updates regarding assignments and changes. Support onboarding coordination for new employees as needed.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations, including required breaks and working hours. Review timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness. Report scheduling issues, attendance concerns, and coverage gaps to management. Maintain accurate records within Connecteam.
Qualifications Required:
Bilingual:
Fluent in English and Spanish (required)•Prior experience in scheduling, dispatching, workforce coordination, or operations support. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with scheduling or workforce management software (Connecteam experience preferred or willingness to learn quickly). Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Experience in janitorial, facilities management, staffing, or service-based industries. Knowledge of labor compliance basics (breaks, overtime, time tracking). Experience coordinating field employees or multiple job sites.

This Role:
A successful Scheduler & Workforce Coordinator will ensure all job sites are consistently staffed, employees are properly managed in Connecteam, and all schedules run smoothly with minimal disruption. They will maintain strong communication with staff, enforce schedule compliance, and help ensure high-quality service delivery across all locations.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
