Baldomero Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home Land O' Lakes, Pasco County Annual Salary $36,429.90 Paid Bi-Weekly The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is an agency dedicated to serving those who served U.S. We are seeking motivated, dynamic individuals! Our skilled nursing facility boasts a loyal team of long-term employees and a fantastic work culture. Excellent retirement package and optional deferred compensation plan. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including outlook. Must have basic or better computer skills. Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays as required. Knowledge in preparing monthly work schedules, as well as staffing on three shifts. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must communicate effectively in
English:
speaking, writing, reading and understanding. Must successfully complete our employment screening process to include but not limited to a drug test and fingerprinting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience scheduling direct care staff in a Long-Term Care facility. Two (2) years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Ensure that nursing staffing is maintained to provide care to the veteran according to FDVA staffing standard. and regulations governing State nursing homes. This position is under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Responsible for posting schedule. Maintain a daily posted assignment schedule for licensed nurses and CNAs. Compile and maintain cumulative staffing reports. Record requested leave time. Record/maintain in-house time keeping records that have been approved by supervisor and/or verified with DON. Maintain records of sign-in sheets. Compile and maintain PPD reports. Verify and compare PPD with time clock. Enter data into electronic folders. Post daily staffing numbers per State and Federal Regulations. Complete and submit monthly report to DON/designee on Agency utilization including justification for use (as provided by DON). Complete timesheet corrections daily and assist other departments as needed. Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.
